The clocks have gone back, its cold, dark early and all summer motivation is slipping away and the comfort clothes & festive treats are looking oh so appealing!

I’ll be honest i’m all about balance so if joggers & Uggs is your autumn vibe great, and we all know the festive treats in supermarket are hard to resist… however I want to give you a few tips on how to set yourself up for success while still enjoying the sesaon.

Motivation is like bathing..

I’m sure you’ve heard this saying… ““People often say motivation doesn't last. Neither does bathing—that's why we recommend it daily” - Zig Ziglar.

It’s a feeling and feelings come and go so don’t waste your time waiting to feel in the mood to workout, hold yourself accountable or get an accountability buddy and just do it! 3… 2… 1… GO!!

LAY IT OUT

I’ve spoken about this on my social media accounts if you decide that you are going to get up early and train then lay out your workout gear the night before! That way when you wake up all you need to do is get dressed and go, before you brain (and it will) has chance to talk you out of it.

You have a choice

Its ok to go to a Christmas party and not have a few drinks or eat party food, you always have a choice and shouldn’t feel pressured over fear of being called “boring” Its ok to go to a restaurant with loved ones and be mindful of calories and to ask for changes to be made to your food. For example I always ask for dressing on the side that way I can tailor the amount to my liking, I’ll get sweet potato fries for the table and share them with my kids, i’ll always get a source of protein and veg or salad with my meal. It’s not about deprivation, these are mindful tips that you can incorporate into your lifestyle and still achieve your fitness goals.

Lastly it’s not about perfection so if you over indulge one day, cool, just continue with you normal routine after, there’s no need till wait till “January” and call it a write off just pick up where you left off.

I believe in you!
